Mike Kelley and Tom Harris Discuss The Business and Art of Architectural Photography

Business Commentary

Tom Harris is an incredibly talented and charmingly down-to-earth friend of mine who has worked for some of the most esteemed architectural firms in the United States documenting architecture across the country. He was kind enough to sit down with me for an hour and chat about his background and his process. We also fielded a few great questions from viewers!

Our chat lasted a little bit over an hour and began with a brief backstory of both of our careers. We then touched on viewer questions regarding equipment and technique, followed by an in-depth chat on how we run our businesses. Lastly, a number of viewer questions sourced from the chat and our instagram followers closed things out.

To see the full video, check out the embedded YouTube link below, and to see Tom’s body of work, which is certainly worth a detour, head on over to his website at tom-harris.net. If you liked our conversation and would like to see more like it, let us know in the comments, and feel free to drop any questions you may have for Tom or other photographers in the future.
