BAAM Podcast: Mike Kelley Offers Deep Insights Into the Architectural Photography Industry
A recent article by Lexi Taciak discussed how we finally have the perfect podcast for architectural photographers, and the latest guest on the BAAM podcast was none other than APA’s founder Mike Kelley himself – and the insights he provides are invaluable.
Personally I enjoy listening to a podcast while I edit or write articles. It’s a great way to be slightly more productive and it can also be quite entertaining.
In the latest podcast, Kelley discusses a wide range of topics from his experiences being a professional architectural photographer. Starting off by discussing his early career all the way to what it’s like working with high budget clients, assistants and his current health issues. I think the most valuable point that Kelley makes in the podcast is about how to build and maintain relationships with clients. This is such an important thing that so many of us seem to overlook; building strong and lasting relationships with people is incredibly important as your work and art do not speak for themselves, so improving your social skills will have more of an impact than any lens, camera or light you can ever buy.

A big thank you to Barry Mackenzie and Andy Macpherson for putting this together!
